Professional Careers
Management's principal is David Bacon.
David has completed the Career Development Practitioners’ Certificate from
the College for Career Practitioners and is a professional member of the
Career Development Association of Australia. He is formally trained in career
counselling techniques and methods, including goal setting, career
assessment, transition coaching and job hunt skills.
David is an internationally experienced senior executive and people manager,
accomplished in communication and problem solving. He is now applying this
experience in helping others transition to new careers, resolve work and
employment issues or their preparation for a new role. He is trained in the
development of career transition strategies and skilled in dealing with
redundancies and terminations.
David has worked in Australia and the UK with a broad global role,
responsible for people and programs in different countries and cultures. He
has a special knowledge of living and working as an “expat” and of managing
ethnically and culturally diverse teams. David has international Board
experience, broad management skill as CEO, GM and Director and an excellent
track record as a people manager, team builder and leader. He is
particularly effective as an agent of change with a strong commitment to
clear objectives, structure, process, effective communication and leadership
by example.
David has a strong communications background and is especially experienced
in staff communications and top level government and corporate negotiations
and advocacy on sensitive and strategic issues. He has significant
experience in resume writing, application letters and interview
preparation. In his last corporate role, David trained as a job evaluator
and role profile developer.
David is also a Senior Fellow of the Corporate Directors’ Association and a Member
of the Public Relations Institute of Australia.
